FAQs

What is the appropriate age range for these classes?

The Craft Hour is geared towards elementary school aged kids (K-5) who enjoy being creative and getting crafty. Ability levels may vary between participants. Many crafts will be simple with ideas for added levels of difficulty for those wanting to take on a greater challenge.

Story Time is geared towards kids (Pre-K and up) who really enjoy picture books or classic stories and who are interested/able to listen to stories, use their imagination, and join in conversations about characters (heroes/villains), illustrations, rhymes, etc.

How will I know if my kids are interested in learning with Betsy?

Check out the video links to Betsy’s Get Into SHAPEs and How to Plan a Party classes. If your child/ren enjoy these classes, then they should enjoy summer camp. Not a fan?…no worries, this just may not be the right fit.

The class will include at least include one craft, but additional games, activities, and conversations will also be part of the hour.

I have friends looking for a summer camp option. Is registration open to everyone?

This is what makes virtual summer camp so much fun! If your friend is a kid and is able to participate during one of the available classes, please direct them to betsyclawson.com for more information and to register.

What if we have a conflict and have to miss a class?

Ideally, everyone would be able to join every class, but of course, sometimes things come up. If you miss a class, make-up classes during a subsequent session are not currently available. Technology dependent…there may be a recording of the Craft Hour class that you missed. (Betsy’s image only…no additional camp member images will be recorded). If this option is available, additional information will be provided. Story Time will not be recorded.

Will my child’s name or image be included on your website or be available for anyone else to view?

Your child’s privacy is very important. Your child’s video feed will be seen by the other children/helpers participating in the camp during the live class. The Zoom video feed will not be recorded. No reference to your child’s name or image will be included in any website or marketing materials without parental consent.

What if I still have questions?

Please contact Betsy with any additional questions, and she’ll happily answer them.
